Save and Close in Firefox 4

I recently downloaded Firefox 4.0 and noticed a lot of changes, one of which was that the feature to “save and close” was missing when I went to close down the browser. I recently read an article on Techie Buzz about some tricks for the new Firefox 4.0 and they had a link to get the feature back in Firefox 4.0. Here is how you do it:

Open a new tab and type about:config and click “I will be careful, I promise”

Then type quitewarning in the filter box. Double click the entry browser.showquitwarning which will change it to “true” Then you are done! Happy surfing and if you want more Firefox 4 tips, click the link above “tricks for the new Firefox 4.0”

  1. Do you mean save tabs? It sounds like it's more trouble than it's worth to update to 4. Are there any benefits to it?

  2. Yes, save all of the tabs when you close the browser so you don't have to reopen them again. I like the new look of Firefox 4(a lot cleaner) as well as it is a lot faster as well. I think speed is the biggest reason to upgrade.
