Pinning in Windows 7

In addition to pinning programs to your task bar in Windows 7, you can also pin individual files that you open with that application. If there is a file that you know you always need to open but you don't want to clutter your desktop with a shortcut or always click File->Open or File->Recent, then this will come in handy. Below are a couple of screenshots using Notepad as an example program. Most programs on Windows 7 have this feature.


You can also "unpin" from the list as well by clicking on the pin next to the file.
